Carnival Ecstasy sailings from Mobile include four- and five-day Western Caribbean itineraries through Oct. 10, 2022 with four-day cruises visiting Cozumel and five-day cruises visiting Cozumel and Costa Maya or Yucatan (Progreso). The vessel will begin the new offering from October 6, 2023, through March 30, 2024. During a “Back to Fun” event at the Port of Mobile, Alabama, Carnival Cruise Line announces that Carnival Spirit will be based from the port starting in fall 2023. This news comes as Carnival Ecstasy resumes sailings from Mobile for the first time in two years.
Carnival Cruise Line and Mobile have enjoyed a partnership since 2002 when Carnival began offering a short series of cruises from Mobile. In 2004, Carnival introduced its first year-round program from Mobile, which was later expanded with the larger 2,052-guest Carnival Fantasy and then replaced with the same size Carnival Elation. Carnival Spirit, a 2,124-passenger vessel, will begin sailing out of Mobile in October. The ship will operate a series of six- and eight-day sailings from this fall through the spring of 2024. After we indulged a bit too much, we grabbed a coffee and made our way to the Alchemy Bar area. This part of the ship has plenty of seating and was popular throughout the cruise.
This evening we explored the ship and learned our way around. The Jungle Interior Promenade quickly became a favorite for us. Packing our bags is always bittersweet but a necessary evil of every cruise. We explored the Fun Shops more and thoroughly enjoyed our stress-free day at sea.
